Databases - Links to Research databases (Psych First, PsychInfo, MedLine, Ovid) as well as SBC and UVA libraries. Because of our departmental focus on the importance of research (both within and beyond the classroom), all students will have some experience conducting research during their undergraduate years. Most students will have their first experience with psychological research during the required Statistics/Experimental Psych sequence of classes (recommended for the Sophomore year). Students seeking a Bachelor of Science degree are also required to design and implement an independent research project (PSYC 315). For those students who qualify, a Senior honors research project may also be undertaken under direct supervision of one of our faculty. |
